A 2014 randomized, open-label pilot study compared topical Cyperus rotundus oil, saline and Alexandrite laser for unwanted underarm hair. Sixty of 65 participants completed the study, which reported a reduction in hair growth with the studied oil.
This small study tested underarm hair and a specific oil preparation. It was not a trial of this finished Caramela Beauty product and does not establish an equivalent result for facial hair or laser treatment.
